Hear the inspiring sound of new music being created at St Ignatius College with the London Sinfonietta. Join us for refreshments and an update on our residency in Enfield, followed by watching the London Sinfonietta ensemble in action. This will be an exciting opportunity to go behind the scenes of one of the top contemporary music ensembles as we prepare for our upcoming concert at the Southbank Centre. The rehearsal will feature Takemitsu’s Tree Line, a piece written by the composer in homage to a row of acacia trees lining the road near to his home in the mountains where he worked. He said of this walk that ‘the trees always caused my weary mind to feel rested once I had walked under them’.
