Who we are:
Residents of Edmonton Angel Community Together (REACT) represents over 3000 homes. We work with communities with different religions and cultures. Our aim is to give a voice to our residents by continuing to work with Enfield Council for better living standards for all our residents, bridge differences thereby creating good neighbourly relationships in Upper Edmonton.
Our core committee consist of four volunteers:
Grace Kamall – Chair
“I have lived here for more than 35 years when the neighbourhood was safe and thriving. Faced with a multitude of problems, I set up a Neighbourhood watch with residents which grew into a a group recognised by Enfield Council for its community work. REACT was granted a Neighbourhood Forum status which underpins our duty to more than 3000 households.”
Cellina Momodu Doswell – Vice-Chair
“I moved to Upper Edmonton over 13 years ago and joined REACT because I wanted to give back to my community. My background in local government and human rights remain part of what drives me in community activism.”
Treasurer-Vacant
Alf Linney – Secretary
“I am semi retired and a professor at a London University. I joined REACT because I am concerned that our area does not receive the same attention and services from the Council as other parts of Enfield. I have lived in Upper Edmonton for more than fifty years and have seen the area go further and further into decline with Enfield Council removing for example facilities such as parks and play areas. I want to persuade our Councillors to be proactive in improving facilities and living conditions to bring our area to the same standard as those enjoyed by the majority of Enfield residents.”
